Summer Residential Camp

Like always, Easterseals Tennessee Residential Summer Camp was a blast! Campers socialized and built connections that many will continue throughout the years to come. They enjoyed exploring the outdoors, improving their physical fitness, and getting away from their daily routines at home.

Many campers discovered new abilities, gained more independence, and built lasting memories. For some campers, this is their only summer vacation, as traveling can pose added challenges and expense. In addition, many families and caregivers benefit from the respite and take the opportunity to rejuvenate.

With the sunny August weather, a lot of time was spent outdoors playing games, making s'mores, and some campers even played a little tennis. Indoors, karaoke was a favorite with campers and counselors alike. Making beaded keychains and bracelets was also a popular activity while relaxing in the air conditioning at the lodge. All in all, everyone seemed to enjoy hanging out with old and new friends under the summer sun.
